SCAM WARNING
We take this opportunity to warn all our clients of the numerous and notorious fraudulent scams that have invaded the internet. To ensure you have a safe and rewarding experience, it is important to protect yourself against scam artists who may try to send you money by cheque or wire transfer directly to your bank account as an advance payment for your services, or ask you to send them money for purposes of visa process or advance ticket payment. Avoid such scams as you will certainly lose your money or valuable documents.
Remember that a genuine host family will NEVER ask you to do any of the following:
1. To Open a bank account to receive money or to send them any money.
2. To Cash a cheque for them
3. To Send them cash with Western Union or MoneyGrams or wire transfers
for any reason
4. To Send money to the family's "personal travel agent"
There are many wonderful and legitimate host families . Unfortunately, there are a few unscrupulous people on the internet whom we must always guard ourselves against.
Scam artists are becoming more and more sophisticated. What could appear like a genuine host family with a convincing story could be nothing but pure scam. Don't send any money or your valuable documents to strangers you have met on the internet.
Always use your common sense.
