Dear Host family
My name is Monica Kavindu Kivuva .I am 20 years old and am a Christian. I weigh 56kg and my height is 5’4. I was born on October 9th 1990. I cleared secondary school in 2008 and passed well. I later joined Goethe Institute for my German language. I have already done my A1 exam at Goethe Institute and passed, currently i am proceeding with my B1.
My family name is Kivuva and my family is made up of 5members including myself. My dad is called Mr.James Kivuva Musyoki, he is 48years old and he is a businessman by profession .My mum is Mrs.Jane Kivuva Mweandi, she is 45years old and she’s also a business woman.I have 2 sisters by the name Jessica Mukami Kivuva and Yvonne Nthenya Kivuva. I am the first born in the family. Our 2nd born Jessica is 18years old, she is a student in Secondary School and our last born Yvonne is 10years, she is in primary school.
I have taken care of children before many times, to start with my small sister.
After high school, I used to take her to the bus stop every morning and pick her up after school .My schedule is waking up at 6.00am in the morning, I prepare my sister, make her breakfast then take her to the bus stop. When I come back, I do house hold chores.
I am also very good with taking care of small children by feeding and getting them to sleep, playing with them, assisting them with their homework and keeping them tidy.
My hobbies are listening to music, dancing, swimming, going for outings and picnics, going for walks and going shopping. Am also interested in learning skydiving, riding bicycle and mountain climbing.
My reason for wanting to be an au-pair is, I like children so much thus an opportunity of being an au-pair will help me to take care of some for a period of time. I’ll also get the chance to learn more german (deutsch), about their culture and their way of living.
